This is Sergey. He lives with his two children. Last month, they went to the village for a weekend and the same night a shell hit in the yard to their house. It destroyed some of their windows. He said that he’s so glad that his children weren’t at home the time. Thanks to UkrainianChildren who made them window insulation so they will be warm this winter.

We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

This is Oksana. She lives alone. When she saw us doing windows insulation for her neighbour, she asked for help. She said that her windows are not broken but are so old and couldn’t hold  heat inside. She said that last  winter was one of the hardest for her, because of the cold in the house. This is Tatiana. She lives with her parents. Unfortunately, after the shell her father had a stroke and died couple days later. Her mother was injured and when she found out about the death of her husband, she also had a stroke. Now she’s in the hospital. The shell damaged their house and destroyed all their windows. Thank to UkrainianChildren and everyone who support us we help them with the window installation. Tatiana was very grateful.

This is Varvara. She lives on the seashore and there was three shells near her house already, and the last one damaged her house and destroyed all of the windows. This is a second war which she’s been through. She said that the hardest thing for her would be left without her home. This is Maria. Her apartment was damaged because of a shell. One shell was at midnight and it hit the building next to hers, so she’s decided to sleep in the corridor. This is what saved her she said, because later at night a shell destroyed all of her windows. There were metal pieces and glass all over the place.
