Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day

Today is Thanksgiving in the USA.

We have so much to be thankful for. I’m thankful that Inna is safe and that I can help her and other Ukrainians keep warm for the winter. Please join me! Give to the Wood Stove Project or the Window Project.

This is Inna. She lives with her mother, who is disabled. Her mother likes to sit in the wheelchair next to the balcony. This is the only way she can look outside. The day of shell she  didn’t feel well, and Inna carried her to the next room to lay on the bed. At that moment, the shell happened and destroyed all the window in the balcony. But praise God, they were not injured.

*Note the quilt covering the missing door window.

Winter is here! Please help us keep families warm in Ukraine. We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

The need is big, but small donations will make a difference!

Half a year ago, while Natalia was at work, she heard sirens go off. She immediately called her daughter, who was at home that day, and asked her to go to the basement. As soon as her daughter reached the basement, a shell hit near their building, blowing out all the windows. Natalia was terrified for her daughter’s safety and later prayed with immense gratitude that her daughter had escaped the shell’s impact.

This is Olga. Two of her sons are off defending Ukraine. She lives alone and didn’t have anybody to help her with shelled windows. After we made her window insulation, she said this is what our sons are fighting for, all the people like you.

A Milestone Achievement for UkrainianChildren.org in Nikopol

Today is a day of celebration and pride for UkrainianChildren.org and the residents of Nikopol. We are thrilled to announce a significant achievement in our ongoing efforts to provide support to the people of Ukraine. Oksana, a resident of Nikopol, has become the 200th recipient of insulated windows in the city, thanks to the relentless dedication of our Nikopol ground team, Insulate Ukraine and the generosity of our donors.

Since the inception of our window insulation project, we have successfully insulated over 2,000 windows. This accomplishment is not just a number; it represents the warmth and security we have been able to bring to numerous families during these challenging times.

As winter approaches, the need for insulated windows becomes more urgent. To combat the cold and provide as much assistance as possible, we are doubling our installation efforts this month. Our goal is to stay ahead of the winter chill and meet the increasing demand from the community.

However, to sustain this momentum, we need more support. Your help can make a significant difference in the lives of many. We urge everyone to spread the word about our mission and the positive impact we are making. Sharing our story can help us reach potential donors and volunteers, furthering our cause.

We are deeply grateful for the support we have received so far and are committed to continuing our work. For more information on our project, how to contribute, or get involved, please visit our website: UkrainianChildren.org.

Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of the children and families in Ukraine. Let’s unite in this noble cause and bring warmth to those in need. #Ukraine #Nikopol #CommunitySupport #WindowInsulationProject #UkrainianChildren #InsulateUkraine #HelpUkraine

This is Volodymyr. His house was destroyed after a shelling, so he had to live in the summer kitchen. He doesn’t have a heating system or a regular stove there. We insulated the only window he had in his summer kitchen* and installed a stove.

*Summer kitchens are found all across Ukraine. They’ve been around for centuries and consist of a small building away from the house. Being too hot to cook in the house in the summer, they are work places to cook, can vegetables from the garden for winter and do laundry.

We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

The need is big, but small donations will make a difference!
