This is Olga. She lives with her grandson. Because of the shelling, she very rarely leaves the house. All her windows were destroyed after a shell and closed off with wooden pieces. She felt so depressed.  But now, after we did her window insulation, they can have sunlight come in the apartment from the balcony.  She said you can’t even imagine how important it’s for me. For the first time, I want to smile. Thank you so much for your help and support.

Please help this project continue. If you know of a company or business who might like to support us, please help. We can put a company name on stoves and logo of support on our website. #WoodStoveProject #UkrainianChildren #UkrainianChildren.org #HelpUkraine www.UkrainianChildren.org

This is Anatoliy and Svitlana. They are in their mid 70s and a very lovely family. Because of electricity problem in their village, which Russian attacks caused, very often they are without light and heating in their home. They have an electric stove so this wood-burning stove will be the only source of heat and place to cook for them when they don’t have electricity, which last year was 6-8 hours every day.

Winter, family, broken windows, hope and repair

Winter has arrived for the people of Nikopol, Ukraine. Due to Putin’s relentless war, civilians are enduring loss of power, missing windows and cold temperatures. Ukrainian Children Inc. offers hope for a warmer home by insulating windows and installing wood-burning stoves.

This is Olga. After the shell a couple weeks ago, the windows on her balcony were destroyed. The only one window which she still had was a very old window in the kitchen. She tried to cover it with paper, but of course it didn’t stop wind from coming through. It was so cold in her house that she was wearing boots and hat. Thanks to window insulation it’s already much warmer in her home.

Winter is here! Please help us keep families warm in Ukraine. We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

The need is big, but small donations will make a difference!
