This is school number 9 in Nikopol.  Right now, this school is used as a humanitarian hub, where people come and receive food bags and drinking water. Unfortunately, knowing this, the Russian army shelled the school even during our work on insulation of broken window. Altogether, 218 windows were destroyed. Last year, the workers of the school tried to cover windows with just film, of course it didn’t help from cold. The temperature at school last winter was +5° maximum. The school principal, was very grateful for the window insulation. She said now our workers won’t be cold this winter.

Winter is here! Please help us keep families warm in Ukraine. We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

The need is big, but small donations will make a difference!

This is Boris. His wife is disabled. She has diabetes and can’t walk. All their money goes to medicine, so they can’t change their old and bad windows, but with window insulation, they will be warm this winter.

This is Lydia. Her husband is dead and she lives alone. Her pension is not enough to pay for gas, so the stove will be the only source of heating for her this winter.

In this giving season, a wood stove to a Ukrainian family can be a gift for the person who has everything. Their name can be engraved on the front of the stove. We will send a gift letter you can include and later, we will try to send photos/videos of the family who received it.#WoodStoveProject #UkrainianChildren #UkrainianChildren.org #HelpUkraine www.UkrainianChildren.org

Please help us continue to warm families in Ukraine by donating or sharing this post.

This is Nina. Last year, her apartment was shelled for the first time, and she was so afraid that she moved to Poland for 6 months. Recently, she was able to come back. While she was out of the country, her son was staying in the apartment and it got shelled two more times. All the windows were destroyed. They were only covered with wooden pieces. Moisture was present all the time in the apartment. It was wet and wallpaper started to fall off the wall as did the paint from the ceiling. But thanks to the window insulation, it got much warmer and drier in her apartment, and she will be warm this winter.

This man’s house was shelled recently and now while it is being fixed, he lives in the summer kitchen and the stove is the only source of heating for him right now. He was very grateful to everyone who support people who live in Nikopol  in such  hard times.
