When the shelling started in Nikopol, Mycolay moved out, but he said that it was too hard for him to live in a different city so he decided to come back. A month after he came home, the city was being shelled. He was in the kitchen, cooking dinner and bent over to pick something off the floor when a piece of metal flew over his head.  He said that it was a terrible experience. When we finished the window insulation in his apartment, he was very grateful.

Elena lives alone.

All of her family moved out of the city and asked her to do the same, but she said that this is her city, and she would never leave it. When the shell hit, she was sleeping in the corridor and this is why she’s still alive. All residents are warned to use the “2 wall rule.” When the alarms go off, everyone should either be in a shelter or put 2 walls between themselves and the outside. Most of the time, there isn’t enough warning to get to a shelter.

Not even wood to cover shelled windows

A couple weeks ago, a shell hit the yard of Sergei’s building. Unfortunately, in their city, there is no program for wood to use to cover the holes. He was living like this in the middle of the winter, but thanks to this window insulation, he will be warm and water won’t come into his apartment.

Please help us keep families warm in Ukraine. We need funding to help keep this project going. As little as $15 can replace a window.

The need is big, but small donations will make a difference!

My House Is Finally Warm!

Inna called us and she said that no matter how high she turned up her heater, it’s still very cold in her apartment. Her windows were very old and she didn’t know what to do. With this window insulation, it’s already much warmer in her apartment. Thank you!

Let their be light!

When the shell destroyed all the windows in Lydia’s apartment, she covered a couple of them with plywood. She didn’t like it at all because it was very dark. She didn’t even close her balcony with wood because she didn’t want to sit in the darkness. She was very grateful for this window insulation, which will make your apartment warm and light.
