Andrea Report- USA
One of the great things about social media is the ability to share ideas. A friend of mine posted on WhatApp a story about cooking for lage numbers of people in both WWI and WWII. This got me thinking. Could this method be of value in this war?
Although generators are being widely used, some areas of early liberation have nothing and many hungry people. One idea is to coordinate with food relief. Would it be helpful to drop off a large pot of ready-made stews and soups to one of these pot cookers? I’ve been asking around to see what interest there is.
Another idea is to drop them at shelters. They could be setup either outside or inside. The latter would need stove pipes exiting the room, simular to the wood-burning stoves.
So far, relief workers in the worst areas in the east are very interested, while areas with sporatic eletricty are not. Ive talked to one front-line cooking group and am waiting for a response.
I’ve asked our wood-burning stove company in Ukraine if they could make some of these. More info soon…
