Nikopol is located in eastern Ukraine on the Dnipro river. Across the river is the captured nuclear power plant. Russians regularly shell Nikopol from across the river knowing that they can’t shoot back. Now, after the dam bombing, the city has no running water. People have been using what they can to block broken windows; tin, wood, blankets, anything. The result is a dark and cold house. We are replacing bombed windows with a new method for temporary windows. Our new method uses inexpensive local materials that allow light in and insulate nearly as well as a double plane glass. $15 replaced a window!
